Google Finally Released Android 7.0 Nougat

Finally Google completed its five month beta program and is released the Android Nougat 7.0 today. The new update will begin rolling out to the following devices:

  • Nexus 6P
  • Nexus 5X
  • Nexus 6
  • Nexus 9
  • Nexus Player
  • Pixel C
  • General Mobile 4G

Good news sometimes carry some bad news, it’s still that the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 (2013) are not eligible for the Nougat update and won’t be getting it.

Android 7.0 Features

Nougat 7.0 has not changed drastically from Marshmallow but it does include a few notable new features listed below:

  • Multi-window support
  • Unicode 9.0 (72 new emojis, 1,500 in total)
  • Quick Settings Control
  • Direct Reply
  • Daydream (VR ready)
  • Display size changeability.
  • Android for Work
  • VulkanTM

These are just a few of the new features introduced in Nougat 7.0.You can visit This Link for further details.

Keep in mind that the Nougat 7.0 OTA (Over-The-Air) update will likely be rolling out slowly over the course of a few days so be patient in case you have not received the update on your phone yet.
